AIP Asset Management recognized by the UN for socially responsible investing

TORONTO, October 21, 2017 – AIP Asset Management (“AIP”) was recognized at the UN’s 72nd Anniversary Celebration at Toronto City Hall. The awards ceremony and flag raising celebrated the anniversary of the founding of the United Nations in 1945 which is officially marked on October 24th each year.

AIP won an award for supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 9 and 12 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure and Responsible Consumption and Production at the United Nations’ 72nd Anniversary Celebration in Toronto. 

While accepting this prestigious award, recipients explain that Socially Responsible Investing is not only a great way to do good for the environment, it also could produce positive returns for the eco-conscious investor. Jay Bala, Senior Portfolio Manager at AIP Asset Management and its co-founder Alex Kanayev, who runs AIP Private Capital, share the vision of investing and supporting innovative and social responsible companies.
